The Opportunity
We are seeking a proactive, Senior Quantity Surveyor to take a pivotal role in securing the successful financial delivery of a £40 million new-build school project. You will be central to safeguarding the company's commercial position - managing risk, maximising value, and ensuring every element of commercial performance aligns with our internal standards and governance.
You will lead the commercial management of this major education project, taking full ownership of your workstream and influencing outcomes that directly shape the project's success.
What You Will Be Doing
- Working closely with, reporting to, and implementing the instructions of the Regional Director/Manager and Commercial Manager.
- Ensuring the timely submission of all commercial data required to monitor and analyse project performance on a monthly and quarterly basis.
- Collaborating with Contracts Managers on the day‑to‑day commercial administration to support the financial success of the £40 million school scheme, while keeping the Commercial Manager informed of key developments.
- Preparing accurate draft sub‑contracts or reviewing and approving drafts produced by the regional commercial team.
- Supporting, mentoring and developing junior commercial staff as part of their professional progression.
- Ensuring all contractual notices, submissions and communications are issued promptly and in accordance with the main contract.
