PSR Solutions are currently assisting a specialist contractor in their search for an Estimator in their Central London office. As an Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing precise and competitive cost estimates for upcoming construction projects. This includes assessing labour, materials, equipment, etc. You will also interact with clients, attend meetings, conduct site visits, and review drawings and plans to accurately determine the scope of work and return cost estimates. Experience within the passive fire industry is required.
Estimator Responsibilities:
- Review project plans and documents to understand scope.
- Prepare cost estimates based on drawings and specifications.
- Collaborate with Commercial, Operations, and other teams.
- Create detailed estimates for labour, materials, and equipment.
- Investigate and resolve cost discrepancies.
- Prepare and present budgets, reports, and plans.
- Coordinate meetings with clients and project teams.
- Monitor and maintain estimating processes.
- Research pricing and gather supplier/subcontractor quotes.
- Review and comment on client specifications.
- Source accurate pricing for project components.
- Support Pre-Construction and wider teams.
- Identify and mitigate risks.
- Comply with health & safety and risk assessments.
