The Role
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Supervisor to join a large, live multi-room development in central Birmingham. This is a freelance position with an immediate start, focused on supervising the electrical works within amenity areas and landlord supplies.
You will be responsible for day-to-day site supervision of specialist sub-contractors, ensuring works are delivered safely, to programme, and to the required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise electrical installation works across amenity areas and landlord electrical supplies
- Manage and coordinate electrical subcontractors and operatives on site
- Ensure works are carried out in line with drawings, specifications, and programme
- Monitor quality of installation and ensure defects are addressed promptly
- Oversee compliance with health & safety procedures and site rules
- Coordinate with project management, other trades, and site management teams
- Assist with planning, sequencing, and short-term programming of works
- Support testing, commissioning, and snagging activities where required
- Maintain accurate site records, progress updates, and reports
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Electrical Supervisor on large construction projects
- Background working on residential / multi-room / high-rise developments preferred
- Strong understanding of landlord supplies and communal / amenity electrical systems
- Ability to manage subcontract labour and maintain productivity on site
- Solid knowledge of health & safety requirements and electrical regulations
- SMSTS or SSSTS CSCS card
