An established electrical contractor with a growing presence in the renewable energy sector is looking to appoint an experienced Electrical Contracts Manager to join its expanding team.

Working across electrical and renewable energy projects, you will be responsible for overseeing contracts primarily within the social housing sector, delivering government-funded retrofit and renewable upgrade schemes. This is a varied role that combines office-based contract management, client liaison and regular site visits, making it ideal for someone who enjoys both operational and commercial responsibilities.

The Role

As Electrical Contracts Manager, you will oversee multiple projects from planning through to completion, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest standard.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple electrical and renewable energy projects simultaneously.
  • Plan and coordinate labour, subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to specification.
  • Maintain high standards of health & safety and ensure all compliance documentation is completed.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Carry out regular site visits across Essex and East Anglia.
  • Support the commercial and operational performance of each contract.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A strong electrical background with experience managing installation projects.
  • Previous experience as a Contracts Manager, Electrical Project Manager or similar.
  • Knowledge or experience of renewable technologies, particularly Solar PV, would be advantageous.
  • Experience delivering projects within social housing, public sector or framework contracts is desirable.
  • A solid understanding of health & safety legislation and industry best practice.
  • Excellent organisational, communication and client-facing skills.
  • A full UK driving licence.
