Our client is a leading infrastructure contractor working on Major Projects across the Railway, Highways and Power sectors, specialising in the delivery of sustainable mechanical, electrical and telecommunication engineering solutions. They have recently tendered and been awarded a number of Major Projects, tackling projects up to 33kV voltage level.

Your role will encompass planning and directing design assignments, ensuring seamless coordination and execution. As the Design Manager, you will interpret, organise, and oversee design tasks while managing a talented group of Design Engineers within the client and their supply chain. Your expertise will be pivotal in supporting tendering, procurement, and construction activities.

Design Manager roles and responsibilities:
  • Supervise design and engineering activities across multiple disciplines on projects, overseeing a team of engineers, Design Managers, lead engineers, specialists, BIM coordinators, and CAD draughtsmen.
  • Plan, develop, coordinate, and review engineering and design work within the project or assignment, ensuring compliance with sector business unit standards.
