Role: Quantity Surveyor

Location: Coventry/West Midlands

Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 + Car/Allowance + Package

Summary

PSR are working with a main contractor who specialises in civil engineering groundworks. They're looking to add a Quantity Surveyor to their talented and experienced team, where you'll be responsible for working on one of their contracts.

Responsibilities

  • Liaise with operational staff including clients and subcontractors
  • Assessment and submission of quotations / compensation events
  • Attend internal / external meetings (both electronically and face to face)
  • Produce and maintain up to date cost forecast
  • Compile and issue monthly valuations to the client
  • Manage subcontract supply chain, issuing orders assessing Subcontract AFPs and the processing of payments
  • Carry out reconciliation of cost and value through a monthly CVR process

Qualifications

  • Degree qualified (BSc/MSc) in Quantity Surveying
  • Experience within a similar role in Civil Engineering / Highways industry
  • Demonstrable record of supporting the commercial team managing complex, high value contracts
  • Experience of NEC, JCT contracts, and working on frameworks

Competencies

  • Excellent ability to work independently and within a team
  • Enthusiastic and willingness to take ownership of contracts/frameworks
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Must be an excellent organiser with proven time management skills
  • Good commercial awareness
  • Full UK clean driving licence
