Summary
PSR are working with a main contractor who specialises in civil engineering groundworks. They're looking to add a Quantity Surveyor to their talented and experienced team, where you'll be responsible for working on one of their contracts.
Responsibilities
- Liaise with operational staff including clients and subcontractors
- Assessment and submission of quotations / compensation events
- Attend internal / external meetings (both electronically and face to face)
- Produce and maintain up to date cost forecast
- Compile and issue monthly valuations to the client
- Manage subcontract supply chain, issuing orders assessing Subcontract AFPs and the processing of payments
- Carry out reconciliation of cost and value through a monthly CVR process
Qualifications
- Degree qualified (BSc/MSc) in Quantity Surveying
- Experience within a similar role in Civil Engineering / Highways industry
- Demonstrable record of supporting the commercial team managing complex, high value contracts
- Experience of NEC, JCT contracts, and working on frameworks
Competencies
- Excellent ability to work independently and within a team
- Enthusiastic and willingness to take ownership of contracts/frameworks
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Must be an excellent organiser with proven time management skills
- Good commercial awareness
- Full UK clean driving licence
