We are looking for an experienced Civil Site Team Leader to join our Water and Wastewater Capital Project Delivery team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on large-scale infrastructure projects that safeguard water supply, protect the environment, and ensure long-term resilience of essential assets.
You will play a key role in delivering projects safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards, while leading site teams and subcontractors in a supportive, safety‐first environment.
With over 140 years of combined engineering and infrastructure experience, we deliver essential services that improve environmental performance and support future generations. Our teams work collaboratively to enhance and extend asset life while meeting strict water quality and environmental standards.
Key Responsibilities- Support the Site Manager with day‐to‐day site operations
- Supervise delivery teams and subcontractors from project start to completion
- Ensure compliance with SHEQ, legislative, and company standards
- Complete and record SHEQ inspections, toolbox talks, RAMS, and site inductions
- Monitor health, safety, environmental and quality performance on site
- Drive continuous improvement and cultural change across delivery teams
- Ensure welfare facilities are maintained and compliant
- Confirm all site personnel hold required qualifications and training
- Coordinate with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams
- Manage multiple concurrent projects safely, on time, and within budget
- Attend internal and external progress and review meetings
- Record near misses and conduct ad‐hoc risk assessments when required
- Experience working in the water industry
- Site Safety Management qualification or 5‐ SMSTS course
- Proven experience in civil installations within construction
- Strong subcontractor management and client‐facing skills
- Good understanding of SHEQ, legal and industry requirements
- Basic management training and leadership experience
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical information clearly
