We are seeking an experienced Design Manager to join a high-profile project in Slough and Newbury. This is an excellent opportunity for a design professional with a strong technical background and experience delivering complex construction projects within commercial, MOJ, mission-critical, industrial, or large-scale commercial environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate the design process from pre-construction through to project delivery.
- Lead design team meetings and ensure effective communication between consultants, contractors, and client stakeholders.
- Review and manage design information to ensure compliance with project requirements, programme, and quality standards.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary design packages and resolve technical design issues.
- Monitor design progress against programme and identify potential risks or delays.
- Ensure designs comply with relevant regulations, standards, and client specifications.
- Support procurement activities through design reviews and technical input.
- Manage design change processes and maintain accurate design records.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Design Manager on large-scale construction projects.
- Previous commercial, data centre, mission-critical, industrial, pharmaceutical, or major MEP-intensive project experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies, building regulations, and design coordination.
- Experience working with consultants, subcontractors, and client teams.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced project environment.
