Our client, a well-established Tier 1 Main Contractor based in the Midlands, is looking to recruit an M&E Design Coordinator to support the delivery of major construction projects across a range of sectors. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience within a Main Contractor, M&E Contractor or Building Services Consultancy who is looking to develop their career within a supportive and growing Building Services team. Working alongside experienced M&E Design Managers and Project Teams, you will assist in coordinating the Mechanical and Electrical design process from pre-construction through to project delivery. You'll help ensure design information is issued on time, technical queries are resolved efficiently and building services installations are coordinated with the wider construction programme. The role offers a mixture of office and site-based working, with regular travel to project sites to attend coordination meetings and support project teams. While the majority of projects are based across the Midlands, occasional overnight stays may be required for projects further afield. Assist with coordinating Mechanical and Electrical design information throughout project delivery. Liaise with consultants, subcontractors and internal teams to ensure design information is issued on programme. Attend design and coordination meetings with project teams and specialist subcontractors. Support the resolution of design queries raised during the construction phase. Help monitor design programmes and ensure information is released to meet project deadlines. Assist in coordinating M&E installations with architectural and structural designs. Maintain accurate design documentation and technical records. Experience within a Building Services, M&E or Design Coordination role. Knowledge of Mechanical and Electrical building services gained within a Main Contractor, M&E Contractor or Building Services Consultancy. Good understanding of construction processes and M&E installations. Willingness to travel to project sites, with occasional overnight stays when required. Full UK Driving Licence.
