Senior M&E Quantity Surveyor - Leicestershire

The Opportunity

A leading Main Contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Senior M&E Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team on a major project in Birmingham.

With an M&E package value of circa £50m, this is a major project offering an excellent opportunity to work across both pre-construction and project delivery.

The successful candidate will play a key role in managing the commercial performance of the M&E package, working closely with the project, design, procurement and wider commercial teams.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the commercial management of the £50m M&E package.

Support the project through pre-construction and delivery phases.

Manage procurement, subcontract accounts, valuations and payments.

Manage variations, change control and commercial risk.

Prepare and maintain accurate cost reports and forecasts.

Work closely with M&E Project Managers, Design Managers and the wider commercial team.

Manage and negotiate with M&E subcontractors and suppliers.

Support contract administration and ensure commercial procedures are followed.

Assist with the preparation and agreement of final accounts.

Identify commercial opportunities and minimise project risk.

About You

The ideal candidate will have

Previous experience working for a Main Contractor.

Strong M&E Quantity Surveying experience.

Experience working on major M&E projects/packages.

Experience across both pre-construction and delivery.

Strong understanding of M&E subcontract procurement and commercial management.

Experience managing significant subcontract packages and commercial risk.

Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
