Responsible To: Commercial Director
Location: Unit 205, Fort Dunlop, Fort Parkway, Birmingham, B24 9FD / WFH
Hybrid Requirements: 2 days office based / 3 days work from home
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- To assist QS Team with sending out Contractor tender packages.
- To monitor and actively chase return of tenders to meet return deadlines.
- To check tendered rates against Framework Agreements (where relevant).
- To assist QS Team with contractor tender comparisons.
- To assist QS Team with preparation of tender recommendation reports.
- To assist QS Team with processing Contractor invoices; checking against order rates, confirming works have been completed, raising payment notifications for signature (by QS) and then issuing to Client.
- To assist QS Team with logging and filing of invoices for reimbursement by Client.
- Receive queries from the Client, gather the required information and respond promptly.
- To assist QS Team with commercial administration.
- To assist Commercial Director with annual National & Regional Framework tendering.
- To assist QS Team with sending out tenders.
- Monitoring tender package progress against timetable, reporting progress back to Commercial Director.
- Schedule meetings.
- To review QS prepared tender comparisons for spelling & numerical errors.
- Prepare final tender recommendation packs including all documentation.
- Maintain and update overall registry of frameworks.
- To assist Commercial Director & construction teams with general administration.
Requirements:
- Driven, focused & confident individual.
- Strong attention to detail, including spelling, grammar, and numerical accuracy.
- Individual who is comfortable working remotely with minimal supervision, taking ownership of tasks and delivering results.
- Proactive approach with the ability to use initiative.
- Working knowledge of IT/Microsoft Windows operating system.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software; Outlook, Word & Teams.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel is essential for the role.
- Ability to use Adobe PDF software.
- Ability to use Dropbox file-sharing software (not essential).
