Salary: 50,000 – 60,000

Overview:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Bid Manager to join a Tier 1 main contractor, supporting the West Midlands and South West Building Unit. You\’ll play a key role in securing high-profile projects by leading bids from opportunity identification through to submission, working closely with internal teams and external partners to deliver compelling, client-focused proposals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage strategically important project and framework bids

• Develop bid strategies, win themes, and manage bid programmes

• Coordinate bid teams and act as the main point of contact for clients and design teams

• Analyse tender documentation and allocate appropriate resources

• Lead tender reviews and report progress to senior leadership

• Identify and mitigate risk, propose alternative solutions

• Input into construction methodology, programming, and planning

• Ensure timely delivery of high-quality, tailored bid submissions

About You:

• Proven experience in bid management within the construction industry

• Background working with main contractors (Tier 1 or 2 preferred)

• Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills

• Ability to work to tight deadlines and manage multiple bids concurrently

• Innovative, solution-focused mindset with a creative approach to proposal development

• Understanding of work winning strategies and how to translate them into compelling submissions
