PSR Solutions are working with a Market Leading client working within the Residential Groundworks Sector to recruit an Assistant Materials Buyer to Join their Pre-Construction team on a permanent basis. This role will be based in Warrington. Assistant Buyer Roles and Responsibilities Producing costs based on materials and quantities received from the Estimating team and issue to Quantity Surveyors as required and within set timeframes. Working closely with Estimators, Quantity Surveyors and site teams to ensure the right materials are provided at the right time You will review proposals, negotiate prices, select the best suppliers, analyse trends. Follow up with placed orders, verify delivery, approve payment, and maintain necessary records. Initial preparation and issuance of Request for Quotations (RFQs) for a wide range of commodities Process modifications to terms and conditions of purchase agreements Assisting the Estimating team on costs of materials once tender has been priced prior to final tender submission Perform commercial analysis on suppliers to develop more efficient processes and cost-effective solutionsAssistant Buyer Requirements Computer literate including Microsoft Office and confident in managing and working with large data sets Experience working within Groundworks sector would be advantageous Experience in purchasing, inventory, or supply chain management is advantageous 6 Months – 2/3 Years experience within an Assistant/Junior Buyer position would be ideal Eager to learn and develop, with a good attitude Good data interrogation skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Valid driving licenceAssistant Buyer Benefits Salary – £25,000 – £35,000 DOE Retail Discounts Company pension Holiday Purchase Scheme Reduced Gym Memberships Discounted HolidaysIf you are interested in this Assistant Buyer role, please apply or contact Jack Brown at PSR Solutions
