We regulate financial services firms in the UK. The Asset Servicing and Asset Management team supervises custody banks, depositaries, fund service providers and large asset managers and G‑SIBs. The role contributes to market integrity, risk management and consumer protection, driving positive change and preventing harm.

Responsibilities

  • Analyse complex business models and strategies across banking and asset management, identifying emerging risks.
  • Shape and deliver outcomes‑focused supervisory strategies, using a range of regulatory tools to support positive change and mitigate potential harm.
  • Engage with senior leaders and key stakeholders, setting clear expectations, challenging constructively and influencing decisions.
  • Lead and contribute to high‑profile thematic reviews and cross‑sector initiatives, providing insight on key risks.
  • Build effective partnerships across the FCA and industry, delivering meaningful regulatory outcomes that increase trust in financial services.

Qualifications

  • Minimum: Prior experience within custody, asset servicing, asset management, banking, regulatory, consultancy or related financial services industry.
  • Demonstrable experience reviewing, investigating and assessing information from a range of sources to make sound judgments.
  • Prior experience managing internal and external stakeholders at all levels and building effective relationships.
  • Essential: A deep commitment to the FCA’s purpose and values, and to positive outcomes for consumers, markets and the sector.
  • Experience in the asset management sector in a risk, compliance or consulting capacity.
  • Collaborative team player valuing diverse perspectives.
  • Effective relationship‑building skills with senior leaders and stakeholders.
  • Strong communication and problem‑solving abilities, confident in challenging, facilitating dialogue and communicating complex issues.
  • Ability to handle complexity, uncertainty and change while balancing multiple priorities.
