Sitting within DTI, the Core Technology team delivers the foundational capabilities and services that underpin the day to day running of the FCA.
Role responsibilities
- Act as the technical authority for the ServiceNow platform, providing technical guidance that enables teams and stakeholders to make informed decisions and deliver effective solutions.
- Define the future direction of the platform by producing and presenting clear architectural designs that support scalability, stability and business outcomes.
- Improve quality and reliability by reviewing proposed solutions and recommending improvements before release into production environments.
- Enhance platform performance through monitoring, identifying opportunities to improve health, efficiency and user experience.
- Advance continuous improvement initiatives by turning optimisation opportunities into deliverable work items and supporting their effective implementation.
- Resolve complex platform challenges by providing support, identifying root causes and enabling long-term fixes that minimise recurring issues.
- Deliver high-value enhancements through the development and deployment of solutions that enhance platform performance and support ongoing operational excellence.
Skills required
- Minimum: Proven experience on ServiceNow platform with knowledge of new technologies in Service Now. Proven experience as an architect, delivering high-level technical designs, architecture artefacts and roadmap governance, with demonstrable experience of designing and implementing multiple technology solutions from concept through proof of concept to production deployment.
- Essential: Ability to provide technical leadership on complex requirements, translating business needs into scalable solutions and developing proof of concepts to validate designs. Experience converting complex technical initiatives into clear user stories and deliverables, guiding development teams through production-ready implementation and delivery. Ability to forge effective working relationships with stakeholders and team members. Gathering and reviewing business, technical and operational requirements, and related information to ensure quality inputs enabling effective designs and builds that can be tested and implemented. Fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, pride for the job done, psychological safety and team morale.
