The Private Equity Group has approximately CAD$40.4 bn of net AUM, which represents 15% of PSP’s total investment portfolio. As an Intern, Private Equity, you’ll provide assistance in:

  • Company and market research
  • Financial analysis, valuation and modelling
  • Execution of transactions and portfolio monitoring
  • Drafting investment committee materials and other internal presentations

What You’ll Need:

  • Excellent academic credentials; a business, economics or scientific degree is preferred, but other degrees will also be considered
  • Prior experience in private equity, investment banking (M&A/leverage finance) or consulting is preferred
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office package (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills
  • Solid understanding of corporate finance and key accounting principles
  • Proactive attitude and sense of initiative
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in teams
  • Knowledge of foreign languages and international experience will be considered an asset
