My client is a multi-award-winning landscape design, build and maintain company. They are looking to grow their Landscape Design department by adding a Landscape Design Technician / Modeller to their present team of four designers. It is a full-time permanent role - working Monday to Friday in the office in Chobham.
We are looking for an experienced, creative and driven Landscape Design Technician to join us, to work on a range of projects in the public, private and commercial sectors. The successful candidate will work alongside and support senior landscape design team members on all projects, using 2D or 3D software to produce sketches, models and drawings to help bring the landscape design to life. They will also assist in the development of other team members, mentoring and helping to improve/elevate the department's technical drawing skills and expertise. We seek someone dedicated, self-motivated and committed to a productive career in the industry.
Essential qualifications, skills and experience:
- Degree or Diploma in Landscape/Garden Design or Landscape Architecture (or similar qualification in a relevant discipline)
- This full-time role is for someone with circa 5 years’ experience in a landscape/design studio designing and drawing in 2D and 3D
- Awareness of good design/graphics and experience in technical/construction detailing, liaising with landscape contractors and fabricators
- Comprehensive experience in Vectorworks and Adobe Creative Cloud, or otherwise requisite experience in similar relevant software (i.e. AutoCAD), where training could be provided is acceptable
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to produce accurate work, demonstrating a high level of attention to detail
- Driving Licence

- Ability to hand sketch/design/render on paper as well as digitally
