PSM Recruitment are seeking an experienced and motivated Dispatch Team Leader to oversee the day-to-day operations of the busy dispatch department. The successful candidate will lead and support the dispatch team, ensuring delivery targets are achieved, quality standards are maintained, and health & safety procedures are followed at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, motivate and develop the dispatch team to achieve performance targets.
- Prioritise workloads and optimise resources to meet daily schedules.
- Ensure accurate stock control, booking of goods, and dispatch documentation.
- Operate forklifts, pallet trucks, and narrow aisle reach trucks safely and effectively.
- Monitor quality standards and maintain excellent housekeeping within the dispatch area.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures, health & safety, and environmental requirements.
- Work closely with production and other departments to achieve customer delivery targets.
Requirements:
- Valid Fork Lift Truck Licence.
- Previous supervisory or team leader experience within a dispatch, warehouse, or logistics environment.
- Strong IT and numerical skills.
- Excellent organisational, communication, and leadership abilities.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
