PSM Recruitment are delighted to be recruiting for an experienced Dispatch Team Leader to join a well-established and successful manufacturing business. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous warehouse or dispatch supervisory experience who enjoys leading a team, maintaining high standards and ensuring customer orders are dispatched accurately and on time.
The Role
As Dispatch Team Leader, you will be responsible for the smooth day-to-day running of the dispatch department, ensuring deliveries leave on schedule while maintaining excellent quality, safety and housekeeping standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading, motivating and supporting the dispatch team
- Planning and prioritising workloads to meet daily dispatch targets
- Ensuring accurate stock control, booking of goods and completion of dispatch documentation
- Safely operating forklifts, pallet trucks and narrow aisle reach trucks
- Maintaining high standards of quality, organisation and housekeeping
- Ensuring Health & Safety and company procedures are followed at all times
- Working closely with production and other departments to ensure customer delivery deadlines are achieved
About You
We're looking for someone who has:
- A valid Fork Lift Truck Licence
- Previous Team Leader or Supervisory experience within a warehouse, dispatch or logistics environment
- Strong IT and numerical skills
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- A proactive approach with the ability to lead by example
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high standards
- The ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing priorities
Hours
Monday to Thursday: 8:00am - 5:00pm
Friday: 8:00am - 1:00pm
