Psicon is a specialist neurodevelopmental service working collaboratively with various NHS trusts to provide autism and ADHD assessments. We are an independent organisation, but most of our work is for the NHS, whom we are proud to support. Psicon is committed to offering the best psychological support and healthcare available. Psicon is seeking a Consultant Paediatrician with expertise in autism and ADHD to join our multi-disciplinary team. We are committed to providing the highest quality diagnostic assessments, treatment, and support for Autism, ADHD, and Mental Wellbeing.

About the role:

  • Deliver high-quality, NICE compliant autism and ADHD assessments.
  • For those diagnosed with ADHD, determine clinical suitability for pharmacological treatment and develop bespoke treatment plans for children in line with NICE guidelines, BNFc and company clinical protocols.
  • Collaborate with our multi-disciplinary team, including clinical psychologists, speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, psychiatrists and registered nurses.
  • Provide clinical supervision and guidance to independent non-medical prescribers.
  • Participate in case discussions and oversee complex clinical cases.

What we are looking for:

  • Membership of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (RCPCH).
  • CCT in General Paediatrics, Paediatric Neurology, or Community Child Health.
  • Experience at a consultant level.
  • A commitment to improving outcomes for children with autism and ADHD.
  • Experience working in MDTs for patients with complex needs.
  • Strong team ethos and the ability to collaborate effectively.

  • Hybrid Working Minimum working commitment required is 3 days (50% Clinical 50% Management).
  • 32 days annual leave (inclusive of bank holidays), with flexibility to buy or sell up to 4 days.
