We are looking for dedicated healthcare professionals to carry out ADHD assessments on a face-to-face and/or remote basis, who share our values of commitment, trust, integrity and kindness. We are seeking ADHD assessors from any of the following clinical backgrounds - Registered Mental Health Nurse, Paediatric Nurse or Learning Disability Nurse.

Main duties of the job:
- Carrying out high-quality full ADHD assessments for children and young people aged 6-18 years old.
- Effectively communicating with neurodiverse children and young people and their families, as well as internal and external staff.
- Producing high-quality, detailed reports in a timely manner.
What we are looking for:
- Be confident, competent and experienced in the delivery of robust, high-quality and NICE guideline compliant ADHD assessments for children and young people.
- Experienced and comfortable with diagnosing independently on the day and feeding back to the family with the outcome.
- Able to commit to providing face-to-face and/or remote appointments.
- Able to demonstrate up-to-date supervision, appraisal, professional registration and revalidation (NMC).

Psicon is a specialist neurodevelopmental service working both privately and with various NHS trusts to provide autism and ADHD assessments. We are an independent organisation, but most of our work is for the NHS, whom we are proud to support. Assessments are carried out by our team of associate clinicians from a range of clinical backgrounds, in satellite clinics across the country and remotely. Psicon is committed to offering the best psychological support and healthcare available. We take an innovative approach to the delivery of our services and ensure that they are of the highest standards in the industry.
Job responsibilities:
- Up to four appointments per day, paid on a competitive per assessment tariff (self-employed, outside IR35).
- Remote work or face-to-face clients.
- Other options available such as hybrid/face-to-face, depending on your location.
- Flexible working days available Monday to Sunday, accommodating your schedule.

Person Specification:
- Demonstrable experience conducting robust ADHD assessments in line with NICE guidelines.
- Confidence and competence in engaging with adult clients and managing assessment processes.
- Willingness to offer face-to-face in Canterbury as well as remote appointments.
- Experienced in utilizing diagnostic tools such as DIVA-5, CAARS, QBTest, and applying DSM-5 criteria for comprehensive ADHD assessment and clinical evaluation.
- Up-to-date NMC registration, clinical supervision, appraisal, and revalidation.
- Appropriate indemnity insurance for self-employed practice.
- Disclosure and Barring Service Check.
