Psicon is a specialist neurodevelopmental service working both privately and with various NHS trusts to provide autism and ADHD assessments. We are an independent organisation, but most of our work is for the NHS, whom we are proud to support. Assessments are carried out by our team of associate clinicians from a range of clinical backgrounds, in satellite clinics across the country and remotely. About The Role

The roles are based in the centre of Canterbury, Kent.

The core hours are 09:00-17:00. The typical working week is Monday-Friday; however, we are open 7 days a week so variations to days worked can be considered to suit candidates. Part time will be considered with a minimum requirement of 3 days.

The role of Clinician Support Team Manager combines managerial and clinical responsibilities to ensure the delivery of excellent services to clients of all ages, with neurodevelopmental conditions such as autism and ADHD. Clinical work is conducted for a proportion of the week in our Canterbury clinic or online.

As a team manager you will oversee a diverse and multiskilled team of clinicians including doctors, clinical psychologists, speech and language therapists, nurses and occupational therapists as well as the admin staff who support them. Working closely with the Head of Associate Clinician Network and the other Clinician Support Team Managers you will be joining a fast growing, friendly team, where your ideas for improvement and innovation will be welcomed.

Principle duties and responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • To provide leadership and guidance to an allocated team of clinicians and admin staff offering neurodevelopmental assessment services with Psicon.
  • To hold professional responsibility for you team’s provision of quality assessments for neurodevelopmental conditions (ASD & / or ADHD) across a range of clinical models.
  • To enable your team of clinicians to provide excellent standards of care, through support, motivation and monitoring.
  • To assist in the selection of high-quality clinicians for the service through conducting clinical screening calls and trial clinics.
  • To offer your team guidance on day to day running of the clinics and report writing to high standards.

Person Specification

  • Highly skilled clinicians – Speech and Language Therapist, Occupational Therapist, Nurse or Psychologist – with significant experience in the assessment and management of autism and / or ADHD.
  • Experience in supporting a team in the delivery of high-quality services to children and families.
  • Understanding of private and NHS healthcare structure / systems / pathways across the UK (e.g. NHS England, ICBs, NHS trusts).
  • Ability to recognise all significant events, relevant clinical issues and difficulties and report these to the Clinical Leadership Team and Head of Associate Clinician Network.
  • Working inside a Psicon clinic in a hybrid model in Canterbury.
