A dynamic and forward-thinking engineering practice providing a wide range of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering services is seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join an expanding design team. In this role, you will be expected to run medium sized projects involving engineering, design, development and coordination, and take on client facing responsibilities. Good commercial awareness and technical knowledge relevant to building services design alongside competency in design and drawing software is highly advantageous. Responsibilities include:
- Establishing and developing the design of Engineering solutions and systems
- Preparing concept plans and briefs for projects
- Producing reports in support of the design concepts with regard to compliance with standards and best practice
- Liaising with others in the design team
- Inspecting installations and reviewing progress quality and performance tests
- Supporting the design team and client with regard to Operation and ongoing maintenance
- Participating in client and project meetings
- Reporting to clients on progress and project related items
Requirements include:
- Autocad/Revit/Navisworks
- SBEM
- Dialux/Relux
- Amtech Prodesign
- BREEAM principles
- Building Regulations and Industry standards BS and EN
- At least 5 years with a recognised company
- Project experience preferred within a number of market sectors to include commercial, retail, industrial, Data centres
