Responsibilities include:

  • Fault diagnosis both at Cabel and at site (client/customer) where required/requested, either in UK/Europe and occasionally further afield across globe.
  • Experience in conducting health checks of machines.
  • Material/component resource and balancing.
  • Experience in using high-grade resins, impregnation techniques i.e. ‘dip and bake’ heavy-duty process, through the trickle processes or VPI systems.
  • Experience in testing of machines.
  • Experience in rewinding electric motors, alternators & transformers.
  • Experience in rewinding and assembly of low voltage AC motors and alternators.
  • Knowledge of motor components which may be serviced at the same time the motor is overhauled.
  • Experience with Transformers that may fail due to fault of physical.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Desired:

  • Electro/Mechanical Background.
  • Experience as a Service Engineer in electrical rotating equipment.
  • The successful applicant must have minimum 3 years sound experience behind them.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and pro-actively, common sense.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbally essential as there is a small amount of paperwork to be completed at times to meet needs of customers/clients and internal departments.
  • Full UK Driving licence required due to need to travel/deliver to various client/customer locations as and when required.

Schedule: Monday-Friday 40 Hours (Core hours between 8am to 6pm)
