Health & Safety Coordinator- Responsibilities include
- Coordinate the development of risk assessments, audits, and investigations as necessary.
- Support the implementation of the company's health and safety (H&S) strategy plan.
- Assist in the creation and management of relevant documentation, ensuring regular reviews to maintain compliance.
- Support initiatives for health and safety training, including identifying training needs and delivering appropriate solutions (e. g., manual handling, safety briefings).
- Advocate and promote the "safety spot" and "safety sorted" processes.
- Act as a deputy in Fresh Ideas and safety committee meetings.
- Identify shortcomings in policies, procedures, and systems, ensuring legal compliance, and implementing corrective actions.
- Generate reports to keep all employees informed about the current status, issues, risks, and areas for improvement.
- Assist in conducting internal and external audits.
- Take ownership of identified improvement activities and ensure their implementation.
- Maintain accurate records and systems related to health and safety.
- Manage and update compliance records for various sites.
- Monitor and analyse site safety performance, maintaining appropriate records.
Health & Safety Coordinator- Knowledge, Skills and Experience Desired
- Strong communication abilities
- Exceptional organizational and time management capabilities
- Keen eye for detail
- Proficiency in Power Point, Excel, and Word
- Possession of IOSH Managing Safely Certificate
- Possession of NEBOSH General Certificate
- Prior experience in an H&S coordinator/advisor role would be advantageous.
