The Test Content Services Manager maintains a client portfolio, applying technical expertise in exam content management, database management, and project management to the publication and maintenance of certification exams. The Test Content Services Manager imports exam content from client representatives, prepares and configures exams for publication, and performs quality checks for publication and maintenance of exams in PSI’s proprietary item banking and exam delivery software. This is a full-time permanent role, with flexible hours around core office availability Monday to Friday.

Role Responsibilities

  • Provide training, guidance, and oversight of Test Content Services personnel assigned duties.
  • Provide training and support to client users of the PSI item banking/delivery platform.
  • Participate in load forecasting and client program assignment process.
  • Participate in internal process development and improvement initiatives.
  • Define assigned tasks and responsibilities for Test Content Services team in collaboration with Content Management leaders and leadership in other departments.
  • Manage multiple project and client assignments, timelines, deliverables, and milestones.
  • Onboard new clients, review contracts, and determine appropriate exam setup for clients.
  • Set up content migration plans/timelines for clients, with input from project managers.
  • Intake new exams for existing clients and publish according to established timeline requirements.
  • Identify exam publication issues, troubleshoot, and suggest possible solutions to problems.
  • Develop and maintain timelines for exam publication activities and track progress in project management ticketing software.
  • Format files to import client content into item banking and exam delivery software, and ensure all data is imported accurately according to department processes and procedures.
  • Collaborate with IT personnel to provide software support and training for clients.
  • Collaborate with software development on the design of new system features or enhancements.
  • Perform administrative functions in the item banking and exam delivery software, including new client setup, account creation, and client-specific configurations.
  • Assist Test Content Services team members with assigned tasks including import and quality control as needed.
  • Coordinate and implement updates to live exams.
  • Coordinate exam publication activity with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain documentation of Test Content Services work processes and associated technology tools, including system user guides.
  • Hire and onboard new Test Content Services Specialists in coordination with the Senior Director of Content Management.
  • Maintain in-depth and up-to-date knowledge of proprietary item banking and exam delivery software.

Knowledge and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 3-5 years of leadership experience.
  • 3+ years with exam publication, item bank management and/or database management.
  • Strong communication skills required.
  • Strong leadership and critical thinking skills required.
  • Ability to approach problems with creative problem solving.
  • Strong experience with project management processes and workflows.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
