We are seeking an experienced Site Agent to join a project team delivering a live highways scheme in Nottingham. The successful candidate will take full responsibility for managing day-to-day site operations, ensuring works are delivered safely, to programme, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
You will currently be Site Agent with a strong background in highways construction and proven experience managing subcontractors, site teams, and client interfaces.
Key Responsibilities- Take full ownership of site delivery for highways works, from planning through to completion
- Manage and coordinate site teams, subcontractors, plant, and materials
- Ensure all works are delivered in line with programme, budget, and specification
- Lead and enforce health & safety on site, including RAMS, briefings, inspections, and compliance
- Maintain site records including site diaries, progress reports, and quality documentation
- Liaise with the client, designers, and internal management to ensure effective communication
- Support commercial and planning teams with progress updates and look-ahead planning
- Proven experience working as a Site Agent on highways projects
- Strong understanding of highways construction methods and standards
- Valid CSCS Card
- SMSTS
- Solid health & safety leadership and compliance experience
- Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and site activities concurrently
- HNC/HND or Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
