The Multi-Trade Operative will be responsible for performing a range of skilled construction tasks across various trades, including carpentry, roofing, and general maintenance. Key Responsibilities:
- General Construction:
- Prepare construction sites, including clearing debris and setting up materials.
- Assist in demolition tasks when necessary.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness on-site.
- Roofing:
- Perform roofing tasks, including repairs and installations, including but not limited to:
- Pitched roofs β slate, tiles, metals
- Flat roofs β felts, single ply membrane, liquid coatings
- Inspect roofs for damage and determine necessary repairs.
- Maintenance:
- Conduct routine and preventative maintenance tasks on construction sites and equipment.
- Address minor repairs and maintenance issues promptly.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in multiple construction trades, with roofing skills as a core requirement.
- Relevant trade certifications or qualifications are advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and health and safety regulations.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and blueprints.
Personal Attributes:
- Disclosure and Barring Services (DBS) checks will be carried out/required to assess the individual criminal history (proof of this is advantageous).
