Reporting to: Operations Manager

Position: The Site Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing all construction activities on site, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires strong leadership, technical competence within high-voltage (HV)/Electrical environments, and the ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams across complex engineering projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, schedule, and oversee all electrical installation activities in line with project timelines.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and other trades to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Ensure timely availability of materials, equipment, and labour to maintain progress.
  • Lead and manage teams of electricians, technicians, and subcontractors on site.
  • Allocate daily tasks, monitor work progress, and provide technical guidance as needed.
  • Resolve on-site challenges efficiently and ensure work meets design requirements.
  • Ensure all electrical work complies with health and safety regulations and company standards.
  • Conduct site safety briefings, risk assessments, and enforce the use of PPE and safe working practices.
  • Inspect electrical installations to ensure compliance with design drawings, specifications, and industry standards.
  • Maintain accurate site records, reports, permits, and documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with electrical codes, construction regulations, and support regulatory inspections.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Site Manager (or similar senior site leadership role) within an HV / electrical setting.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical power systems, substations, transmission, and distribution projects.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering complex engineering projects safely and within programme constraints.
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills.
  • Strong understanding of health and safety regulations within construction environments.
  • Commercial awareness and understanding of project controls.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficient in project management and reporting tools.

Money & package negotiable depending on experience (looking at various levels). Will also consider Freelance/Contract or permanent position.
