Job Description
The Strategic Development Manager will work closely with Country Management to support the development and expansion of UK & Ireland operations and assist in the set up of Milestone One. Some of the activities conducted by the SDM include;
- Communication of recommendations for development of operational strategy, including identification of optimal site profile and enrollment rates.
- Identification of potential clinical trial sites and evaluation of their capabilities, infrastructure, and staff qualifications.
- Development and maintenance of a database of potential and active sites for PSI critical therapeutic areas.
- Development of outreach plans to engage potential sites in under-developed or strategic regions.
- Monitoring of market trends, emerging therapeutic areas, and competitor activities to identify business opportunities in the country/region.
- Establishment and maintenance of relationships with key stakeholders, including site investigators, site staff, and healthcare administrators.
- Assessment of patient enrollment challenges and opportunities in ongoing and completed studies to improve patient recruitment and retention strategies.
- Analysis of patient enrollment upon completion and comparison of the feasibility assessment against actual performance to determine future improvement opportunities.
- Collection of feedback from PSI Operations to support feasibility and site identification.
- Participation in scientific conferences, meetings, symposia, etc. to collect information, network with potential sites/investigators and obtain in-depth understanding of clinical trials setting in the country/region.
Qualifications
- Life Science Degree and/or equivalent experience
- At least 5 years of on-site experience in clinical research
- Experience in clinical site identification is a plus
- Proficiency in standard MS Office applications
