We are looking for professional, qualified and enthusiastic candidates to take up a full-time position of a Junior IT Systems Administrator to provide daily technical support. This is a hybrid role with 2 days per week required in our Oxfordshire office.

The scope of responsibilities will include:

  • Supervised responsibility for troubleshooting and diagnosing desktop computer systems and peripheral equipment problems.
  • Supervised responsibility for IT support operations, including but not limited to receiving and tracking user requests, assigning priority and responsible persons, resolving requests and users’ notification.
  • Shared responsibility for installation, configuration, maintenance and upgrades of desktop computer systems and peripherals (e.g., network cards, printers, modems, mice, add-in boards, copiers, etc.).
  • Supervised responsibility for asset management of desktop computer systems (hardware and software inventories, licensing, systems decommissioning, etc.).
  • Is responsible for documentation of system problems and resolutions.
  • Assists with providing basic IT training to PSI staff, at the discretion of Training & Resourcing.

Qualifications:

  • College Degree preferably in Computer Science or a related field.
  • At least 1+ years of experience in IT.
  • Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (MCDST) training is a plus.
  • Related experience in systems and network administration.
  • Knowledge of basic systems administration tools and processes.
  • Ability to plan, multitask and work in a dynamic team environment.
  • Advanced communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
