Job Description

Title: Product Structuring/Development – VP/Director – Private Markets/Alternatives/Semi-Liquids

Location: London

A leading global investment management firm that specialises in delivering innovative investment solutions across private markets and semi-liquids is seeking a senior Director level Product Development/Structuring executive to join their team. With investment professionals strategically located throughout Europe, North America, and Asia Pacific, they focus on meeting their clients' diverse investment and capital needs through a variety of products.

The successful candidate will help drive the firm's growth by developing commercially viable products and with cross-business collaboration.

Responsibilities:

Product Development & Strategy

Serve as the primary contact for the Private Markets investment teams, overseeing the complete lifecycle of investment products
Lead product development initiatives for Private/Alternative assets in the wealth channel
Conduct proactive market research and analysis to inform new product proposals
Drive fund launches and structuring efforts, including documentation and financial modeling
Coordinate with diverse stakeholders including Client Portfolio Managers, Legal, Compliance, Sales, Operations, Investment, Finance, and Risk teams

Market & Technical Expertise

Monitor and analyse market trends across private/alternative assets and the Wealth sector to guide product innovation
Maintain deep knowledge of fund commercial terms and mechanics, including subscription, redemption, and liquidity terms
Stay current with regulatory developments affecting Private Assets in Wealth products
Provide expert guidance on ESG guidelines and evolving regulatory requirements

Stakeholder Management

Present product development and innovation proposals to senior leadership
Promote Private Market/Wealth products internally while maintaining strong partnerships with key stakeholders
Collaborate with external counsel, fund administrators, service providers, and investors
Act as the primary investment team representative for product-level activities, including fund economics and investment restrictions
Research and communicate product trends and innovations, particularly regarding fund economics
Develop strategies for vehicle and product innovation based on market analysis

Requirements

Strong experience in investment fund management and the investment management ecosystem
Strong understanding of Private/Alternative Assets for Wealth channels across North America, Europe, and APAC
Comprehensive knowledge of AIFMD, European fund structures, and product strategy
Familiarity with Part II UCIs, ELTIFs, LTAFs and similar investment structures
Advanced proficiency in Excel, word etc
Exceptional project management and organizational abilities
Strong numerical aptitude with meticulous attention to detail
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
