Job Description

Exciting and hugely challenging interim role at leading global payment (Merchant Acquirer) who continue to expand rapidly. 

This is a senior role for a CDD/Onboarding expert from a reputable payments business. You will lead CDD transformation across SMB onboarding, transaction monitoring, and fraud, with a focus on regtech integration for upcoming pKYC, vendor strategy, and scalable process design in a regulated fintech environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and Lead a high performing business operations function, delivering optimised service experience
  • Develop new methods and tools to support the high quality and innovative delivery of CDD Operations
  • Define, implement and maintain operational excellence across the CDD operations teams,
  • Work closely with key stakeholders ensure seamless execution and regulatory compliance
  • Manage stakeholders working with global teams to ensure delivery of exceptional an service
  • Accountable for CDD Operations, oversee execution of CDD activities and its adherence to AML/KYC policies and procedures (includes customer periodic reviews and trigger event assessments.)
  • Ensure all CDD processes comply with local and international regulatory requirements, including AML, KYC, and sanctions regulations and support the CDD Operations Policy.
  • Accountable for the continuous improvement of CDD policies, procedures, and systems
  • Regular reporting on CDD activities, including key metrics, trends, and risk indicators, to senior management.
  • Hold responsibility to remediate audit findings.
  • Assemble and lead diverse teams within an inclusive team culture where people are recognised for their contribution
  • Mentor and appraise leaders as part of the performance management process

Required Experience

  • Mobilising and managing complex regulatory, organisational and transformation programmes
  • Assessing the adequacy of current systems and controls to manage financial crime risk
  • Advising on the design and implementation of systems and controls to manage financial crime risk or enhance operational efficiency
  • Developing and implementing target operating models, organisational design and process enhancements in response to financial crime change
  • Assessing business models in relation to regulatory and financial crime changes
  • Communicate regulatory requirements to business audiences with ease
