This role sits within a growing Data & AI delivery team focused on building data-driven solutions that deliver measurable business impact. Quantexa is a core platform used to enable entity resolution, network analytics, and contextual decision intelligence across complex data environments. We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer with strong Quantexa experience to work on large-scale data engineering solutions. You will contribute to solution design, lead hands-on development, and work closely with architects, technical leads, and stakeholders in agile delivery teams.
As a Senior Data Engineer, you will take ownership of the technical development of Quantexa-based solutions. This includes designing and building robust data pipelines, configuring Quantexa components, and translating complex business requirements into scalable, production-ready implementations. You will play a key role in ensuring solution quality, performance, and alignment with wider enterprise data architectures.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and optimise data ingestion pipelines and transformations within the Quantexa platform using Spark and Scala
- Configure and implement Quantexa components, including Entity Resolution, Scoring, and Network Generation, to meet specific use cases
- Collaborate with Solution Architects and Tech Leads to design scalable, high-performance solutions
- Translate business and technical requirements into efficient, maintainable data engineering solutions
- Support the integration of Quantexa within broader enterprise and cloud-based data ecosystems
- Work closely with cloud, security, and DevOps teams to support deployment and operational readiness
- Conduct peer code reviews and promote coding standards and engineering best practices
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team capability building and knowledge sharing
- Participate in agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives
- Contribute to client-facing workshops and technical documentation such as design specs, deployment guides, and runbooks
- Stay up to date with advancements in Quantexa and related Big Data technologies
- Quantexa Technical Certification (mandatory)
- 6+ years' experience in data engineering roles, including 2+ years delivering Quantexa solutions
- Strong hands-on experience with Scala, Apache Spark, and Big Data frameworks (e.g. Hadoop, HDFS)
- Proven experience with core Quantexa capabilities:
- Data Ingestion Pipelines
- Entity Resolution configuration
- Scoring logic implementation
- Contextual Network generation
- Experience delivering Quantexa solutions in Financial Services, Fraud, AML, or KYC environments
- Exposure to DevOps practices and CI/CD tools (e.g. Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps)
- Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes
- Understanding of data governance, data quality, and enterprise data security standards
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related technical discipline
