My client is the air transport industry\’s IT provider, delivering solutions for airlines, airports, aircraft, and governments. Their technology powers more seamless, safe, and sustainable air travel.
They are looking to hire an experienced Software Asset Analyst / Data Analyst to join on a 6 month contract, with a view to extend further.
About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Data Analyst / Data Specialist with deep expertise in Software Asset Management (SAM), Hardware Asset Management (HAM), and IT Infrastructure Asset Management.
The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of experience in the data domain, with a strong background in license auditing, compliance, and optimization.
You will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and efficiency of our IT asset landscape, working closely with internal stakeholders and external partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead data analysis for software, hardware, and IT asset management processes.
- Oversee and optimize license management, compliance, and reporting.
- Design and implement robust data models, dashboards, and insights to support asset and infrastructure decisions.
- Collaborate with IT, Procurement, and Finance teams to improve asset lifecycle management.
- Leverage Flexera and other SAM tools to monitor, track, and optimize licensing usage.
- Act as the subject matter expert for audit readiness and manage external/internal audit processes (e.g., Deloitte, Big 4).
- Provide recommendations to improve cost efficiency, compliance, and risk management within the IT environment.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives in infrastructure and asset data quality.
What we are looking for
- 10+ years’ experience in data analytics within the IT asset management or infrastructure domain.
- Strong expertise in Software Asset Management (SAM), Hardware Asset Management (HAM), and Infrastructure Asset Management.
- Knowledge of Flexera (or similar SAM tools).
- Solid understanding of software licensing models and compliance frameworks.
- Auditing background (ideally Big 4 such as Deloitte, PwC, EY, or KPMG).
- Excellent data analysis, reporting, and visualization skills.
- Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure landscapes (servers, cloud, hardware assets, networks).
- Advanced Excel; experience with SQL, Power BI, or similar analytics tools is a plus.
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving mindset.
