An excellent opportunity for an experienced planning professional to join and help develop an established London based planning team.
This is a senior role combining client work, leadership and business development. You’ll play an important part in the continued growth of the team, working with existing clients, developing new relationships and overseeing a range of significant development projects.
The role would suit someone who enjoys being outward facing and commercially involved, while still maintaining a hands on role in providing strategic planning advice.
The role will include:
- Leading and advising on complex planning and development projects
- Helping shape the future direction and growth of the London team
- Building strong relationships with existing and prospective clients
- Identifying new opportunities and winning work
- Managing major instructions from initial strategy through to delivery
- Developing relationships with local authorities and other key stakeholders
- Working closely with colleagues across other property disciplines
- Supporting, mentoring and developing junior members of the team
- Helping to raise the profile of the planning team across the market
- Maintaining strong commercial oversight of projects and client instructions
About you:
You’ll be an experienced planning professional with a strong understanding of the London development market and a track record gained within a consultancy or similarly commercial environment.
Ideally, you’ll bring:
- Experience managing complex projects and client instructions
- A good network within the London property market
- The ability to develop new and existing client relationships
- Previous involvement in business development and winning work
- Experience managing or mentoring other planners
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Chartered status or an appropriate professional planning qualification
This would particularly suit someone at Director or equivalent level looking for a role where they can have a genuine influence over the growth and direction of a London planning team.
