About the Client

Our client is a global leader in aviation technology, providing innovative solutions that help airlines, airports, aircraft and governments operate more efficiently, securely and sustainably. Its technology enables the aviation industry to connect people, processes and data across the entire passenger and aircraft journey.

From airport operations and passenger processing to communications, data and enterprise applications, the organisation operates at the heart of an industry that never stands still.

As part of a major global transformation, the organisation is undertaking an enterprise-wide Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP implementation, creating a modern, standardised and scalable platform across its international operations. We are now looking for an experienced PPM & Project Accounting Domain Lead to play a key role in this transformation.

About the Role

As the PPM & Project Accounting Domain Lead, you will take ownership of the technical product backlog and functional design for the Oracle Fusion Project Portfolio Management (PPM) and Project Accounting domain.

You will sit at the intersection of business process, Oracle Fusion configuration, project financial control, data and integration, working closely with Finance, Delivery, Operations, Sales, Contracts & Legal, Enterprise Systems and the implementation partner.

The role will be responsible for ensuring that project delivery and project finance requirements are translated into a standardised, controlled and scalable Oracle Fusion design.

The scope covers the complete project lifecycle, from project creation, funding, budgeting and cost capture through to project accounting, billing, revenue recognition, capitalisation, reporting and financial close.

A particularly important element of the role will be ensuring effective integration between Oracle Fusion and adjacent platforms, including Salesforce, Icertis and downstream finance, reporting and analytics platforms.

Beyond the initial implementation, you will also operate as a long-term ERP product owner, helping drive continuous improvement, optimisation, automation and value realisation from the Oracle Fusion platform.

Key Responsibilities

PPM & Project Accounting Ownership

β€’ Own and maintain the Oracle Fusion PPM and Project Accounting product backlog across project definition, costing, budgeting, funding, contract linkage, billing, revenue recognition, capitalisation, reporting and close processes.

β€’ Translate approved business process designs into Oracle Fusion configuration requirements, functional specifications, user stories and testable acceptance criteria.

β€’ Ensure requirements are traceable from process design through configuration, integration, testing, data migration, reconciliation and deployment.

β€’ Manage scope and change requests across the PPM and Project Accounting domain.

β€’ Prioritise backlog items based on business value, control improvement, automation opportunities, data quality and programme criticality.

Oracle Fusion PPM Design Authority

β€’ Act as the functional authority for Oracle Fusion Project Portfolio Management and Project Accounting.

β€’ Review and challenge solution designs against Oracle standard functionality, business requirements, financial controls and programme design principles.

β€’ Drive design decisions covering project templates, classifications, expenditure types, cost collection, burdening, capitalisation, project billing, revenue recognition, funding structures and project financial reporting.

β€’ Ensure alignment with related Oracle Fusion modules including General Ledger, Subledger Accounting, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Procurement, Fixed Assets, Order Management and Enterprise Contracts where appropriate.

β€’ Promote a standard-first, configuration-over-customisation approach to ensure a scalable and upgrade-safe Oracle Fusion solution.

β€’ Ensure designs support auditability, segregation of duties, revenue and cost traceability, billing accuracy and strong financial control.

End-to-End Process & Cross-Domain Alignment

β€’ Work closely with the Global Process Owner for PPM and Project Accounting to support design workshops, process validation and governance.

β€’ Ensure the end-to-end process connects commercial opportunity, contract commitment, project creation, delivery execution, project cost capture, billing, revenue recognition, financial close and reporting.

β€’ Define and clarify process and data hand-offs between Salesforce, Icertis, Oracle Fusion and downstream reporting and operational platforms.

β€’ Assess the impact of design decisions on project margin visibility, revenue leakage, billing accuracy, project close efficiency and financial compliance.

β€’ Ensure appropriate business and design approvals are secured before progressing into build, test, migration and cutover.

Delivery & Sprint Governance

β€’ Participate in sprint planning, stand-ups and retrospectives, owning delivery commitments within the PPM and Project Accounting domain.

β€’ Review and accept implementation partner deliverables, including configuration, functional specifications and test scripts.

β€’ Maintain a domain-level dependency log covering cross-domain decisions and integration dependencies.

β€’ Escalate delivery risks, blockers and quality issues appropriately.

β€’ Track domain progress against programme milestones and contribute to programme-level reporting.

β€’ Ensure short-term delivery decisions remain aligned with the long-term architecture and product roadmap.

β€’ Identify and manage technical debt through backlog prioritisation.

Testing & Quality Assurance

β€’ Define and approve test scenarios and acceptance criteria covering unit, integration, UAT and regression testing.

β€’ Oversee UAT activity, defect triage and resolution with the implementation partner.

β€’ Ensure data migration requirements and data quality acceptance criteria are clearly defined and delivered.

β€’ Validate integration flows, edge cases, real-world transaction volumes and reconciliation processes.

β€’ Provide domain-level input into go-live readiness and sign-off.

β€’ Ensure data quality, reporting readiness, audit traceability and system integrity are appropriately validated.

Integration Management

β€’ Own the definition and validation of integration requirements between Oracle Fusion PPM / Project Accounting and adjacent applications.

β€’ Define integration requirements with Salesforce, including opportunity-toproject initiation, customer and account references, deal attributes and project set-up triggers.

β€’ Define integration requirements with Icertis, including contract metadata, commercial terms, obligations, milestones, billing triggers and revenue conditions.

β€’ Ensure Oracle Fusion PPM integrates effectively with downstream finance processes including billing, Accounts Receivable, Subledger Accounting, General Ledger, Fixed Assets, project reporting and enterprise analytics. β€’ Maintain an integration inventory covering data flows, triggering events, frequency, ownership, reconciliation controls, error handling and operational support.

β€’ Review and approve functional integration specifications, test results and reconciliation outputs.

β€’ Ensure clear data ownership, lineage and control points across project, customer, contract, cost, revenue, billing and reporting data.

Stakeholder Management

β€’ Represent the PPM and Project Accounting domain across cross-functional and programme governance forums.

β€’ Communicate domain status, risks, dependencies and decisions clearly to programme leadership.

β€’ Work closely with Data Owners and Data Stewards on migration, governance, lineage and data quality.

What we are looking for

Essential Experience

β€’ 8+ years' experience working within Oracle ERP environments, with deep functional experience across Oracle Fusion PPM, Project Accounting, Project Costing, Project Billing, Project Contracts or equivalent project finance domains.

β€’ Proven experience designing or leading Oracle Fusion PPM / Project Accounting implementations in a Product Owner, Functional Lead, Solution Lead or Senior Business Analyst capacity.

β€’ Strong understanding of the complete project lifecycle, including project creation, budgeting, funding, cost capture, capitalisation, billing, revenue recognition, project close and reporting.

β€’ Proven ability to translate business requirements into Oracle Fusion configuration specifications, functional designs, integration requirements and testable acceptance criteria.

β€’ Experience working with upstream and downstream application integrations, particularly Salesforce, contract lifecycle management platforms such as Icertis, and Oracle Financials.

β€’ Experience working within large-scale, multi-entity or multi-country ERP transformation programmes.

β€’ Strong experience managing product backlogs, roadmaps, testing, defect resolution, cutover readiness and post-go-live stabilisation.

β€’ Experience working with multiple stakeholders across Finance, Technology, Operations and business functions.

Desirable Experience

β€’ Experience migrating from Oracle E-Business Suite Projects / Project Accounting to Oracle Fusion PPM.

β€’ Experience with Salesforce opportunity-to-project integration and associated customer/commercial data flows.

β€’ Experience with Icertis or another Contract Lifecycle Management platform integrated with Oracle Fusion.

β€’ Experience with Oracle OTBI, Fusion Analytics Warehouse, Power BI or other enterprise reporting platforms using project financial data.

β€’ Experience working alongside a Big Four or Tier 1 systems integrator in a client-side role.

β€’ Experience driving post-go-live optimisation, automation and continuous improvement across project finance processes.

β€’ Experience working within a global organisation with complex project accounting, revenue and reporting requirements.
