The Role:
We are looking for a Network & Security Engineer to support and secure a modern, cloud-connected environment. The focus is on Cisco Meraki networking and Microsoft Azure Sentinel for security monitoring, incident response, and continuous improvement of the security posture. This is a hands-on role. You will be expected to configure, support, troubleshoot, and improve, not just oversee.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, configure, and support Cisco Meraki networks (LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, firewalls).
- Monitor, manage, and respond to security events using Azure Sentinel (SIEM/SOAR).
- Investigate incidents, perform root cause analysis, and recommend remediation.
- Work closely with cloud, infrastructure, and IT teams to maintain secure connectivity.
- Contribute to security best practice, documentation, and continuous improvement.
- Support hybrid users and office-based environments in London.
Required Experience:
- Strong hands-on experience with Cisco Meraki (switching, wireless, security appliances).
- Practical experience using Microsoft Azure Sentinel for monitoring and incident response.
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, firewalls).
- Experience operating in a Microsoft / Azure-based environment.
- Comfortable working in a hybrid, office-based setup (3 days per week in London).
Nice to Have:
- Broader Azure security tooling (Defender, Azure AD, Conditional Access).
- Exposure to Zero Trust or cloud-first security models.
- Relevant certifications (Cisco, Microsoft).
