The Role
As Head of Finance Operations, you will oversee the Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Credit Control, and Finance Systems teams, ensuring that there is seamless transactional finance operations across the group. This is a business-critical leadership role, responsible for enhancing financial controls, optimising technology, and improving processes to support long-term growth and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Set the vision, drive performance, and develop a high-performing finance team.
- The team covers the AP, AR, Credit Control and Financial Systems and your role will be to oversee the workloads and deadlines across the teams.
- You will oversee the transactional finance, month-end close, reconciliations, and financial controls.
- The role will be to oversee the process and identify automation opportunities to help streamline finance operations.
- This is a key business partner role within the business, and you will be working with senior stakeholders and other senior finance heads to provide financial insights, deliver transactional finance results and resolve escalations.
- Another key element will be to ensure finance policies, VAT principles, and jurisdictional compliance are adhered to across all the group entities.
What We’re Looking For
- A Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Have proven team management and finance leadership experience
- Knowledge of overseeing transactional finance operations in a multi-entity environment would be beneficial
- Confident in reviewing process and suggesting improvements or automation
- Strong commercial mindset, capable of managing cross-functional teams and external stakeholders
- Advanced Excel skills: NetSuite or Oracle experience is a plus
- Experience in hospitality, travel, or real estate sectors preferred
- Live within a commutable distance of Bristol
