You will work within the Strategy Team supporting Engineering and Technology, focusing on cost efficiency and productivity initiatives.
About the Role
We’re looking for a FinOps Consultant to support cloud cost management and optimisation across a complex technology environment. This role will focus on improving visibility, governance, and value from public cloud spend, while also partnering closely with engineering, finance, and procurement teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a FinOps lead/champion across public cloud environments (Azure)
- Drive visibility and reporting of cloud spend (forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis)
- Work with engineering teams on cost optimisation initiatives (e.g. right-sizing, commitments, usage efficiency)
- Support governance models such as chargeback/showback
- Partner with finance and procurement on cost control and commercial decision-making
- Provide clear insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders
What we are looking for
Required Experience:
- Proven experience in a FinOps, Cloud Financial Management, or Cloud Cost Optimisation role
- Strong hands-on experience with public cloud platforms (Azure)
- Experience working closely with engineering and finance teams
- Solid understanding of cloud pricing models and optimisation levers
- Ability to communicate complex cost and usage data clearly
Nice to Have:
- Experience managing or influencing software, SaaS, or publisher/vendor spend
- Exposure to large or enterprise-scale cloud environments
- FinOps Foundation certification or similar
