We are partnering with a forward-thinking organisation in the transportation sector seeking an experienced Enterprise Data & Analytics Architect to play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering a modern data strategy. This is a high-impact opportunity for a senior data professional to design and lead enterprise-wide data architecture, enabling better decision-making, innovation, and business performance.
The Role
As the Enterprise Data & Analytics Architect, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and evolving the organisation’s data architecture. You will ensure that data is structured, scalable, secure, and aligned with long-term business objectives. You will work closely with senior stakeholders, IT teams, and analytics professionals to translate business needs into robust and future-proof data solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and deliver strategic data architecture roadmaps aligned to business goals
- Design and optimise data platforms including data warehouses, lakes, and databases
- Develop scalable data models and ensure strong data quality, governance, and security
- Lead the design and implementation of ETL pipelines and data integration solutions
- Simplify and modernise existing data architecture to improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet evolving data and analytics needs
- Provide architectural leadership and governance across projects
- Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies within data and analytics
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience designing enterprise data architectures and data models
- Strong background in data warehousing, analytics, and data engineering
- Experience with modern data platforms such as Azure Databricks, PySpark
- Experience with analytics and reporting technologies such as Power BI or Tableau
- Experience with Snowflake or similar cloud data platforms
- Knowledge of cloud ecosystems (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
- Experience with real-time data technologies (e.g., Kafka or similar)
- Strong understanding of data governance, metadata, and data quality frameworks
- Ability to engage and influence senior business stakeholders
