A well‑capitalised, privately owned property company, employing c80 people in London, with a long‑term investment horizon is seeking a Project Director to lead the delivery of a high‑quality pipeline of commercial developments across London and the South East.
Reporting to the Managing Director and Head of Development you will take full ownership of projects from feasibility and planning through procurement, construction and handover. You’ll provide clear leadership to internal stakeholders and external consultant teams, driving programme, cost, quality, safety and ESG outcomes while maintaining a pragmatic, solutions‑led approach.
Key responsibilities
- Lead end‑to‑end development delivery across multiple commercial schemes (new build and refurbishment).
- Manage consultant and contractor appointments, procurement strategy and contract administration (typically JCT).
- Oversee planning and pre‑construction activities, risk management, value engineering and design coordination.
- Own reporting, governance and stakeholder management, including local authorities, occupiers and funder representatives where relevant.
- Ensure best‑in‑class health & safety, sustainability, and quality standards through to completion.
About you
- Significant track record delivering complex commercial developments in London/South East (office, mixed‑use, industrial/logistics or life sciences).
- Strong technical and commercial capability with confident decision‑making under pressure.
- Excellent leadership, negotiation and communication skills; comfortable operating in a lean, high‑accountability environment.
- Relevant qualification (MRICS/MCIOB/Construction or Engineering degree) preferred.
