The Mac Product Owner will lead the strategic development, automation, and lifecycle management of the enterprise macOS environment. This individual will own the Jamf platform, ensuring a seamless, secure, and highly automated experience for thousands of Mac users across the organisation.
Working closely with infrastructure, security, and digital workplace teams, you’ll combine technical excellence in Jamf management and scripting with a strong product mindset — driving continuous improvement, user experience, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and evolve the enterprise macOS environment, ensuring performance, compliance, and a great end‑user experience.
- Administer and optimise the Jamf Pro environment — responsible for design, policy creation, packaging, and deployment at scale.
- Develop and maintain advanced automation scripts using Bash and the Jamf API, reducing manual effort and improving consistency.
- Design, test, and deploy policies, profiles, and scripts aligned to security baselines and operational standards.
- Collaborate with Security, Networking, and Endpoint teams to ensure macOS configurations meet compliance and zero‑trust standards.
- Lead feature roadmap planning and backlog management for Mac endpoint services, balancing user needs, business outcomes, and risk.
- Troubleshoot and resolve escalated macOS issues, working cross‑functionally with global support and engineering teams.
- Champion automation and innovation — drive adoption of DevOps principles within device management.
- Maintain platform documentation, runbooks, and change controls.
- Stay current on Jamf ecosystem updates, Apple MDM changes, and industry best practices.
Required Skills & Experience
- Jamf 300 certification (minimum); Jamf 400 preferred.
- Strong understanding of macOS architecture, MDM frameworks, and Apple security/compliance tooling (FileVault, Gatekeeper, etc.).
- Experience with deployment automation, CI/CD pipelines, or integration tools (e.g. GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar).
- Demonstrated ability to own a technical product roadmap, manage stakeholder expectations, and deliver measurable improvements.
- Excellent problem‑solving and analytical abilities with a proactive approach to innovation.
- PSSO (Platform Security & Systems Operations) experience — knowledge of secure platform architecture and endpoint hardening.
- Familiarity with Intune, Azure AD, or identity federation for Apple devices.
- Exposure to Python, Swift, or PowerShell scripting for cross‑platform automation.
- Experience in a regulated, large‑scale enterprise environment (utilities, finance, telecoms, or public sector).
- Knowledge of Agile or Product Ownership methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe).
