Our client is a leading Investment Management company and has an exciting opportunity for a Front Office Business Analyst with strong Investment Risk and/or Analytics experience. The successful candidate should have experience of working with Portfolio Managers, Portfolio Construction and Investment Risk Teams to support portfolio construction and analytics processes.
Responsibilities
- Conducting in-depth high quality business analysis, including detailed requirements, process mapping, and documentation to support the delivery of effective and scalable technology solutions.
- Acting as a domain SME in Investment Risk and partnering with business leaders to shape and prioritise initiatives.
- Collaborating closely with technology counterparts (architects, engineers, and other business analysts) and operational teams across geographical locations to deliver high impact solutions that align with business objectives.
- Driving enhancements in investment risk analytics, performance measurement, and attribution processes.
- Facilitating stakeholder workshops and providing strategic insights, thought leadership and actionable recommendations to senior stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Strong experiences as a Business Analyst within Asset Management, ideally supporting front office investment risk and/or analytics teams.
- An understanding of investment risk concepts (such as: VaR, tracking error, duration risk), performance measurement frameworks, and attribution methodologies (e.g. Brinson, Factor-based) across various asset classes.
- Familiarity with tools such as MSCI Risk Manager, MSCI BarraOne and FactSet.
- Understand key operational challenges in Asset Management such as ABOR/IBOR, benchmarks, look-through logic and instrument modelling.
- Experience of working in Agile environments with teams scattered globally.
- Have a relevant degree level education with professional qualifications (CFA, FRM) preferred.
