A leading UK-based leisure and attractions operator with a varied estate of high-footfall destinations across visitor experiences, hospitality and entertainment. The organisation runs complex, customer-facing environments requiring strong operational standards, compliance, safety management and facilities delivery, while continually investing in guest experience, asset performance, sustainability and commercial growth initiatives nationwide.

This senior event management role is responsible for leading, developing and inspiring Event Management and Event Support teams across a complex, high-profile venue environment. The role will ensure that all event planning, preparation, delivery and post-event processes are delivered to the highest standards, creating a best-in-class operational function across a varied portfolio of event spaces.

The postholder will provide credible and visible leadership, ensuring teams are engaged, empowered and committed to delivering excellent performance. They will be accountable for the consistent, compliant and high-quality operational delivery of events, including direct involvement in event delivery where required.

A key part of the role will be to create and implement an Event Management strategy focused on continuous improvement, innovation, operational efficiency and service excellence. The role will also involve monitoring client satisfaction, acting on feedback trends and identifying opportunities to enhance the customer experience.

The successful candidate will manage internal and external stakeholder relationships, including key industry relationships and relevant working groups. They will represent the organisation at industry events and support senior leadership where required. Financial management is central to the role.

Responsibilities include developing, setting and managing departmental budgets, contributing to capital planning, overseeing event management revenue, cost and package budgets, and ensuring financial targets are achieved.

The ideal candidate will bring senior event management experience within live events, conferences or venue operations, with proven experience leading teams across multiple event spaces. Strong customer focus, commercial acumen, budget management experience, excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong working relationships are essential.
