A global firm covering a diverse set of asset classes and business sectors is looking for a Director of ETF Sales to lead the UK Sales efforts for the ETF business. This role will look at how their global active strategies can be deployed to meet growing demand from clients in the UK region. The firm has global reach, with clients ranging from sovereign wealth funds and corporate clients to wealth managers and high net worths. This role will sit within the active ETF ecosystem and will have close engagement with the wider sales team, the Head of EMEA ETF Sales, ETF Strategy, Capital Markets and the Investment Teams.

The firm is seeking to expand and grow its business by accelerating their active ETF capability. You will be responsible for the overall management of their ETF distribution efforts in the UK.

As an integral member of the UK sales teams, the ETF Specialist Sales works in collaboration with the sales teams to ensure the effective and efficient creation and execution of an ETF sales plan and supports the Sales Teams in building out and expanding their coverage and meeting growth targets. The Specialist Salesperson will be responsible for supporting wholesale and institutional clients and be the central point for the ETF business in the UK from a client perspective. You will take on a central role in building out their product positioning, market-and-competitor intelligence as well as their marketing approach and distribution strategy for active ETFs in the UK. The role includes preparing, executing and following up on client queries, sales meetings and client event related management. It includes taking care of client service, but also maintaining and keeping their global CRM system (Salesforce) up to date. Furthermore, you will be the primary representative for the ETF capability in the region and responsible for driving and further developing this strategic positioning.

About you

  • In-depth knowledge of the asset management’s distribution landscape, client segments and market trends
  • Experience in and understanding of the ETF ecosystem and willingness to proactively expand expertise
  • Extensive professional experience in the asset management and/or financial services industry
  • Experience of mobilising, structuring and generating momentum
  • Fluent in English with outstanding communication skills
