P+S Personnel are pleased to be working on behalf of our clients, who are currently looking for a Site Support Operative on a full-time, permanent basis based in Lowestoft.
Role Summary
To undertake functions to preventative and breakdown site maintenance, cleaning duties within the site and other Production Support Services.
Main Responsibilities
- Actively contribute to the health and safety of the working environment, monitoring and maintaining the health and safety of self, other employees, visitors and members of the public, ensuring compliance with current legislation at all times.
- Work with and support other departments to ensure business objectives are achieved.
- Operate the forklift to load/unload as requested.
- Undertake delivery/collection duties as required.
- Undertake production support duties including but not exclusively: pre-assembly activities, machine packing and liaison with transport and packing suppliers.
- Undertake site support duties relevant to keeping the internal and external areas clean and tidy, including but not exclusively: sweeping, emptying bins, ensuring that all waste is correctly separated and disposed of according to regulations.
- Create and deliver a proactive site maintenance schedule, undertaking day to day maintenance requirements to include minor works repairs, replacement of dead/faulty lighting etc.
- Undertake and record all mandatory routine maintenance and testing such as fire alarm and emergency lighting.
- Undertake and record reactive maintenance/repair tasks as required.
- Liaise with third party contractors with regard to scheduled maintenance tasks and additional site requirements.
- Take and record monthly utility readings.
- Replenish washroom supplies from stock.
- Replace door mats on a weekly basis.
- Other duties may be required.
