P+S Personnel are pleased to be working on behalf of our clients, who are currently recruiting a Technical Sales Manager to join their busy team remotely on a full time, permanent basis.
Role Summary: This is a significant opportunity to develop and execute strategic commercial plans aligned with site and global business objectives. Reporting to the Commercial Director, you will oversee the full sales lifecycle while leveraging your technical expertise to grow our FRP composite and thermoplastic solutions portfolio. You will play a key role in customer growth, specification sales, technical proposals, and revenue performance, while providing data-driven insights to senior leadership.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement commercial strategies to accelerate business growth
- Drive immediate and long-term revenue through deal closure and strategic planning
- Achieve and exceed sales targets within existing and new markets
- Manage municipal and industrial sales opportunities end-to-end
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and key stakeholders
- Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, engineering, customer service, and sales teams
- Monitor performance using KPIs and prepare reports for the leadership team
- Support financial planning, budgeting, and revenue forecasting
- Lead by example in QHSE compliance, promoting a strong safety-first culture
- Optimise sales processes using CRM tools and ensure leads convert to customers
- Travel as required to support business needs
Qualifications:
- Tertiary qualification in an Engineering discipline
- Experience within the construction industry or related manufacturing environment
- Background in technical or engineering sales
- Strong ability to create, track, and manage sales metrics
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and CRM systems
- Business or manufacturing-related qualification
- Exposure to ERP systems
- Knowledge of SIOP processes
Working Hours and Benefits:
- Monday-Friday
- 40 hours per week, flexible hours
- 26 Days Holiday plus 8
