P+S Personnel are pleased to be working on behalf of our clients, who are currently seeking a Production Line Leader to work on a full-time permanent basis in Great Yarmouth.

Role Summary: Working in a clean manufacturing environment where the highest quality standards are observed, you will be leading a team of Production Operators, to deliver batches of the correct quality and in adherence to the Production plans. This role reports to the Production Shift Leader.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead and drive a team of Production Operators to ensure batches are produced on time, to the required quality standards and in accordance with relevant company procedures.
  • Inspire and motivate to achieve objectives and targets whilst driving continuous improvement requirements within the team.
  • Support new product introductions and packaging improvement activities.
  • Ensure safe and effective working practices of line team.
  • Ensure direct reports are effectively trained and adhere to all procedures required for their role.
  • Effectively organise and drive a team of operators to efficiently run the line.
  • Identify issues with equipment/components that affect running performance and support their resolution.
  • Clear and effective communication of line performance and fixes via daily meetings, KPI reports and emails.
  • Expert in operation of the line, including minor troubleshooting.
  • Effective teamwork with support departments, coordinating quality and/or engineering support when required.
  • Monitor the capability and performance of direct reports, responsible for first line informal discipline where required.
  • Act as backup for the Shift Leader in their absence.

Experience and Qualifications:

Working Hours and Benefits:

  • This will be a full-time permanent position, shift work.
  • Week one: Monday to Thursday 6:00-14:00, Friday 6:00-13:00.
  • Week two: Monday to Thursday 13:45-10:00, Friday 12:45-18:45.
  • Competitive salary, salary reviewed annually with an annual bonus payable in May depending on Company performance.
  • Holiday is 25 days less 4 to cover Christmas closure plus bank holidays.
  • Pension offered at 5%, increasing to 6% after 5 years’ service, this is offered on a matched / salary exchange basis.
  • Life Assurance, payable at 4 times basic salary.
  • AXA PPP private health offered after a qualifying period.
