P+S Energy are pleased to be working on behalf of our client, who is currently seeking a Trainee Offshore Rig Up Operator to work offshore on vessels and rigs based in the EU. Candidates must hold an EU or dual passport.

Role Summary: Works as part of the rig crew mobilised to offshore locations to deliver rig-based services. While offshore will work under the direct supervision of the Rig-Up Supervisor. Works in the onshore workshop to carry out job preparations, maintenance, certification, loading or receiving of equipment used for stimulation services.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Assists in the Inventory Control of all rig-based equipment.
  • Assists in the manifesting of equipment.
  • Assists in the receiving of equipment into the warehouse.
  • Will undertake maintenance of equipment while based in the workshop, which will include but not limited to rebuilding of high-pressure equipment, certification of high-pressure equipment, painting/cleaning and greasing of equipment and maintenance/inspection of CCUs.
  • Ensures all work areas remain clean, tidy, and serviceable.
  • Ensures all tasks being conducted are carried out using the correct tools and procedures.
  • Follow the Company’s Safe Systems of Work.
  • Assists in administration tasks required in the Company’s Asset Management Software.
  • Ensures all equipment defects are reported to supervisor or Line Manager.
  • Safe assembly/dismantling of all equipment when on offshore locations.
  • Performs to the Company quality standards.
  • Ensures that all appropriate COSHH information is included and available with offshore equipment requirements and available on installation.
  • Ensures to be proactive when it comes to Health and Safety Reporting both onshore and at Clients locations.
  • Ensures to follow Client or third-party Safe Systems of Work while offshore or at third party premises onshore.
  • Undertakes training as required by the Company Training and Competency System.
  • Ensures full awareness of, and compliance with, the requirements of all relevant company/customer HSEQ handbooks, HSEQ procedures and emergency procedures.

  • Ability to work as part of a team or on own initiative.
  • Able to work unsupervised.
  • Flexible and adaptable approach to work.
  • Dedicated to the HSEQ ethos.
  • Ability to work to deadlines.
  • Organised and able to effectively communicate.
  • Excellent spoken/written English skills.
  • Basic experience of Microsoft Office Packages, including Word and Excel.

Working Hours and Benefits:

  • Working a 28/28-day rotation.
  • Pension scheme.
